Been A LONG Time! I'm Back

 I'm BACK!!!!

Goodness. Talk about being on hiatus! Been gone quite some time and definitely been crazy busy busy! With a big family, it's definitely expected. Yet, I can't complain.  I'd much rather have a busy life than be bored not doing anything right?  With that said, I will do my best to update more often and not be such a slacker.

On top of being a wife, mommy, having a full-time job, blogging, and juggling everything else, I've become an assistant/partner with my sister, Kay Castro.  She is an amazing Make-Up Artist and does awesome hairstyles/updo's too! She's dedicated to making people look and feel beautiful. I'm glad to take part in her work as an assistant and stylist.  This will be one fun journey that I look forward to. Already have weddings and events in the upcoming weeks! So psyched to be able to work with my sister and best friend.

And above all else, the hubby has finally landed a job after a year long search! Been a long time coming that's for sure! Truly blessed right now. God listens and answers our prayers without a doubt. I have to give hubby praise too though because he held it down at home and with the kids.  He is such an amazing father and husband. How did I get so lucky?!

Just recently celebrated my mom's 50th birthday, or shall I say her "35th" right? She sure doesn't look like 50 that's for sure. She can pass as our sister! Love my mom to pieces. She is such a strong woman, hard worker, loving, passionate, fun, and so much more! Glad to have you in my life and thank God for bringing you to this world.

Alright, style updates! Looking back, my favorite go to color for the month of October is PINK! Very fitting I suppose since it is breast cancer awareness month. Plus it is such a beautiful color right?

OOTD 10.20.12 Bright mint colored skinny jeans with loose fitted pink blouse and khaki colored blazer. Hair tight and braided

OOTD 10.23.12 Subtle pastel colors for fall and a pop of Pink/Coral. Love loose flowing clothing pieces. Great trend for the fall season.

Colder weather/season is upon us, are you ready? Bring out your coats and jackets if you haven't done so already. I love being able to layer up and put together cute outfits. Plus I love being able to wear boots! Fall and spring are my favorite seasons to experiment with style and fashion.

The 50 pair shoe rack I ordered from Beyond the Rack website arrived a few weeks ago, and I was definitely excited to put them to good use.  I ordered 2 sets and yet I still had shoes that didn't fit on the racks. Girl problems right?  I'm definitely digging the fact that I can finally be able to see all my shoe options for my outfit choice of that day or moment! Loving it!

OOTD: Red pants (Family Day) 10.07.12

My other HALF ♥. Love that he lets me dress him. (Can't see his suspenders though)  I must say, he's starting to rub off on me, he's starting to pick out his own clothes that include more color variety.  Just recently he picked out my personal pick of fall colors (camel, burgundy, and navy). Proud moment indeed!

My husband is wearing his outfit in a more neutral state that tones down the intensity of the red pants by wearing a white shirt, white/brown striped suspenders, camel colored button up/hooded sweater, and brown shoes.
I on the other hand, went for a more daring yet subtle look and stayed within the same color family. Wearing a pink blazer, red pants, blush bow pumps, off white blouse, gold accent jewelry, and my own hair braided at the crown as a "headband."

Make-up: tried to keep it simple (just like I like it).

And of course our children were also in RED PANTS! Our eldest is wearing a long-sleeved graphic white top w/ a black hooded/zip-up vest. Our middle child is wearing a camel checkered button up shirt under a football graphic shirt and brown shoes.  Our little one is wearing a denim button up shirt underneath a dark blue/navy shirt.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my family! My boys are Amazing!

Scarves!

Got my scarves set out. Ready to tackle this colder weather for sure! Are YOU?!

This may seem like a lot of scarves, but I want MORE! Is there something wrong with me?

TREND: Thigh High Socks

With every Fall/Winter Season each year, Thigh High Socks ALWAYS come back in style. You can wear them casual to formal/dressy. There are endless possibilities in how you can wear them! Another favorite fashion piece! They come in different colors and textures as well. What fun to add to an outfit.

These are examples of wearing Thigh High Socks in a fashionable manner, NOT looking too "hoochie". SOPHISTICATION is key. People perceive you in the way you carry yourself!

OOTD 10.04.2012 Pop of Color

Comfy, relaxed fit. Great for doing a little bit of shopping =)

Don't be afraid to mix and match colors, yet Don't go overboard. Using a belt and scarf could totally kick your outfit up a notch. Wide-legged Pants and Pointy toed shoes!

You can still wear loose clothing and still look good!
Oh and my very first Louis Vuitton from my wonderful Mother-In-Law! Turns out she beat my husband on getting me one. SMH Love you MAMA

OOTD 10.03.2012 Denim/Feminine with an Edge

Dinner w/ the Fam to bid our Aunt/Uncle safe journey back to Cambodia.

DENIM JACKET! Another must have. I absolutely adore the fact that it can be worn with just about everything!

This dress was quite ill-fitting for me, but I LOVED it's style and the fact that it has POCKETS! So I paired it with a denim jacket, red ribbon belt, black riding boots, black clutch, and brown beaded necklace. A little feminine w/ an edge kind of look. Hair slightly curled for texture and semi-natural make-up w/ dark red/vino lipstick.

See how I combined different colors but yet still it came together?

This outfit took less than 5 minutes to put together!

Just a Friendly Reminder!

Ok so it's the 1st of October and turns out we're getting colder weather a bit earlier and more often than last year. With that said, MOISTURIZE! Colder weather brings out the bad and ugly in our skin. So start now by exfoliating and packing on the lotion. This most definitely goes for our face, hands, feet, elbows, and knees.

OOTD 09.30.2012

I was so excited after purchasing my leggings that couldn't wait to wear them! Also, these are a few of my favorite Items for the fall/winter time: Leopard print, Burgundy, gold, AND LIQUID LEGGINGS!

It was super comfy and the texture was awesome! Kept rubbing my legs, it was soooo smooth. I recommend everyone to give it a try. It'll probably be one of your favorites as well.

Would you believe me when I say that this outfit (leggings & Burgundy Top) cost less than $12?
Looking great for a BARGAIN!
